WBkanyashree is an encouragement program to all female students who are economically weaker position . Students in west Bengal who are studying from 8th class ( VIII Class ) to Higher education can get scholarship under Kanyashree prakalpa program . All they need to do is to register their K1 or K2 fresh application from their Education Institution . Kanyashree Prakalpa is an WB government initiation to avoid early age marriages in girls . As per the records of 2008 , West Bengal is the top 5th state where girls are married under 18 years . Even in cities like Kolkata slum areas also having a high number of girl child marriages . As per the prohibition and Marriage Act 2006 , it mandatory to have a minimum of 18 years to a girl and 21 years to a boy to get married . So to reduce child age marriages west bengal government took a step by introducing Financial Help to all Girl Students who are economically weaker . The Scheme name is  Kanyashree , and the eligibilities are minimum 13 year to 18 year girls who are studying VIII class to Higher Education .

According to the Kanyashree Scheme , All girls who are pursuing 8th Class to Higher education in the age of 13 to 18 years are eligible to apply under this scheme. Eligible Students has to register from their Education Head . To get Register their Schools / Collages / Institutions are to be register under wbkanyashree.gov.in portal . Who have shortlisted can get cash benefits from State government .

Available Schemes Under Kanyashree Prakalpa :

There are two schemes available to apply under Kanyashree Prakalpa @ Wbkanyashree.gov.in Portal . Which are 1. Applying for Annual Scholarship 2. Applying for One Time Benefit .

Annual Scholarship – Scheme A / Form K1 :

Annual Scholarship means applicant has to choose one time Registration which is Scheme A Form K1 . If we select K1 Form registration , one can get a 1000 rupees cash transfer from government as scholarship . The amount will be transferred to direct bank account . No third parties allowed .

One Time Cash Grant – Scheme B / Form K2 :

In the One Time Benefit applicant has to choose Scheme B Form K2 registration . Under Form K2 Registration one can get 25000 cash Reward from State government as Education support . the amount will be credited in Girl Bank account . To get one time Cash Transfer , Applicant has to be 18 years and she has to continue her education in any recognized education institution by WBSED & The institution has to be register under wbkanyashree.gov.in Portal .

Eligibility : Students who are studying VIII Class / 8th Class .

Wbkanyashree.gov.in Status – How To Check kanyashree Prakalpa Application Status :

1. First Open WBkanyashree Official website @ http://www.wbkanyashree.gov.in
2. After opening the home page , Select Track Application in main menu section . When you click on the Track Application name it will take you to a new web page where you have a box to Track Application Status
3.  in new web page you have a box , there select year you have applied for Scheme A K1 Application or Scheme B K2 Application .
4. Next Select Type Of Scheme You have Applied & you wanna check Application Status
   1. For example if you have applied for Annual Scholarship , Select Annual Scholarship Form k1 / renewal
   2. For example if you have applied for One Time Cash Transfer of Scheme B Form K2 & wanna check the status of the same , then select 2nd option which is One Time Grant Form K2 / Upgrade .
5. Now enter Student date of birth as per the Education records or Aadhar card Records .
6. Now enter Captcha Code and Submit the query to Track Application Status Of Kanyashree Prakalpa .

How To Track Application – WBKanyashree Track Application :

• To Track Kanyashree Application we need to open Wbkanyashree Portal @ www.wbkanyashree.gov.in
• After opening the portal select Track Application @ menu Menu Section under Home page .
• The Direct URL to open Track Application is https://www.wbkanyashree.gov.in/kp_4.0/track_application.php
• Click on the Direct URL link to open the page directly with out any steps .
• After opening the Track Application page , Select Year . You can select the Academic Year from 2013 to 2021 .
• Another option is Select type of Scheme . Here we need to select the Scheme what we have applied . For example if we have applied for West Bengal Kanyashree Annual Scholarship we need to select Annual Scholarship Scheme A Form K1 / Renewal
• If we have applied for WB Kanyashree One Time cash Grant then we need to select One Time Grant Scheme B Form K2 / Upgrade .
• Enter Your Application Identification Number . The Application Number is an unique number which allotted you in the time of Kanyashree Registration Time .
• If you dont know the application id , Use the Forget Application option to retrieve your Application number
